Two Live Oak men arrested in connection to a burglary where several firearms were stolen, according to reports.
21-year-old Richard E. Touchton and 21-year-old Dylan Troy Pennington were booked into the Suwannee County Jail for a Jan. 6 burglary on 161st Road. Pennington was arrested last Thursday while Touchton was arrested three days after.
The two men broke into the home and stole six rifles and shotguns from a cabinet. They also stole a .22 caliber rifle from a vehicle in the garden, according to the Suwannee County Sheriff’s Office
The firearms are worth about $2,100, according to the report.
The duo parked their car about half a mile away from the home and walked the rest of the way, according to the SCSO. They broke the window to enter, before breaking the glass in the gun cabinet.
Pennington admitted to going with Touchton to steal the firearms, the report states. He said everything was supposed to be split 50/50, but he never got his half.
Touchton faces seven counts of grand theft of a firearm, one count of armed burglary and one count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Pennington faces one count of aiding in the burglary and one count for grand theft of a gun.
